Can I purchase a firearm from this website?
YES! In most cases, you can.
Express Police Supply sells new and used firearms to anybody that is legally able to purchase one. There are, however, various procedures and restrictions that dictate if and how you can purchase.
Used firearms are priced the same in the retail store and on the web. We do not have a credit card surcharge or a "cash-discount".
First Responders
Defined as (If you do not see your position listed, please call us.):

We have special pricing for First Responders. This price is discounted from the price normally charged by commercial retailers to civilians. This is the price shown online in the First Responder category.
Purchase Procedure via the Internet / US Mail:
- Determine which firearm you wish to purchase
- Determine if you would prefer to provide an agency letterhead or use a local Federal Firearms Licensee to complete the transfer.
- Agency Letterhead Method (for active Law Enforcement Agents)
- Submit order online, over the phone or via US Mail. For mail-in orders, please fill out an order form and mail it and the agency letterhead, listed below, to Firearm Department, Express Police Supply, 11333 Strang Line Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215.
- Compose a Letter #2. This letter must be on agency letterhead, and signed by both you and the Chief Law Enforcement Officer. NOTE: This letter requires each of you to sign in two places, and, at minimum, requires each of the clauses shown in our sample letter.
- Mail original letter to Firearm Department, Express Police Supply, 11333 Strang Line Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215. This letter can accompany your order form and payment.
- Upon receipt and verification of the order and the letterhead, we will ship the firearm to your attention at the agency's address.
- Local Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) Method
- Submit your order online, over the phone or via US Mail with an order form.
- Contact your local FFL and ask them to fax (1.866.990.3990) or email (ffl@ombExpress.com) a copy of their license to us. We need this in order to ship your firearm there. Please have the FFL reference your order number.
- Email, mail or fax a copy of your First Responder ID or other verification paperwork to us, referencing your order number.
- Upon receipt of the credentials, FFL, and verification of the order, we will ship the firearm to your attention at the FFL's address.
Purchase Procedure via the Retail store:
- Determine which firearm you wish to purchase. As part of the purchase, you will required to provide your First Responder ID or paperwork for verficiation purposes.
- KS Residents (for all firearm purchases): Fill out a FBI NICS form and receive approval for the purchase - usually within minutes (some customers might get a delayed status, which can last for multiple days).
- MO/NE/CO/OK Residents (for long gun purchases ONLY): Fill out a FBI NICS form and receive approval for the purchase - usually within minutes (some customers might get a delayed status, which can last for multiple days). NOTE: Non-Kansas residents are welcome to shop our retail store but pistols and revolvers must be shipped as described in the "Purchase via the Internet / Mail" section above. They can ship to either your agency (must provide letterhead) or another FFL located in your state of residence for final transfer.
- All other states (for all firearm purchases): Other states’ residents are welcome to shop our retail store but firearms must be shipped as described in the "Purchase via the Internet / Mail" section above. They can ship to either your agency (must provide letterhead) or another FFL located in your state of residence for final transfer.
Agencies
We have a special price for Agency purchase of firearms. This is a discounted price and does NOT include Federal Excise Tax. This pricing applies when an agency is purchasing firearms for official duty use by the agency. These firearms do not include the Excise Tax imposed by the Federal Government and is also exempt from state Sales Tax. These firearms must be purchased and used by the agency with ownership retained for a year or more.
Purchase Procedure:
- Obtain quotation from Express to determine pricing
- Compose a Letter #3 on agency letterhead signed by the Chief Law Enforcement Officer. No Stamped signatures will be accepted.
- Fill out a Federal Excise Tax Exemption Certificate signed by the Chief Law Enforcement Officer
- Mail original letter (No Fax or Email copies will be accepted) to Firearm Department, Express Police Supply, 11333 Strang Line Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215
- We'll process the order and the factory will ship the firearms directly to your agency. Special make-up, Short Barrel / Full Auto / NFA weapons take longer.
Civilians
We offer new and used firearms to civilians. The used firearms are as priced the same on the website and retail store. There is no price difference in used firearm pricing for First Responders and Civilians (there is no First Responder discount on new or used weapons that are NOT in the First Responder category).
